Non-Profit Corporation, Public Corporation and Pro Bono

Iwata Godo provides comprehensive legal advice on various matters and representation in legal procedures to such clients of non-profit or public nature as governmental organizations, non-profit corporations such as local governments, educational corporations, associations, federations of industry organizations as well as public corporations, taking into account the special legal needs of these organizations.

As the Act on General Incorporated Associations and General Incorporated Foundations came into force recently, we have seen an increase in cases where we advise on the establishment and management of general incorporated associations and on switchover thereto, as well as more cases of M&A of non-profit corporations such as educational corporations. Drawing upon our experience in corporate legal service and M&A in addition to our experience with non-profit and public corporations, Iwata Godo offers comprehensive legal services to these clients as well.

The attorneys at Iwata Godo take part in various activities in their bar associations through appointments to bar association offices, including committee related activities, are instructors at the Legal Training and Research Institute, and take part as well in various pro bono activities through appointments to offices in non-profit corporations and teaching positions at law schools.
