Mr. Saito has been engaged in IT-related cases as well as general corporate legal services, litigation/dispute resolution and crisis management. (preparation of internal control system in normal times and emergency response.)
The main legal services he provides for IT-related cases are as follows.
1. Cases related to systems and software
・ Providing advice, drafting contracts and handling dispute resolution regarding system development, system operation and system maintenance
・ Providing legal advice and drafting contracts regarding software license (including OSS license)
・ Providing advice and drafting contracts regarding cloud services
・ Providing advice and drafting contracts regarding development of systems using AI technology
2. Cases related to digital forensic
・ Providing advice on digital forensics analysis performed for various investigations (i.e. accounting malpractice and information leakage), collaborating with digital forensics companies
・ Providing advice on using the results of digital forensics analysis in trial
3. Provision of Advice on various operations, initial responses, and investigation policy with respect to cases related to cyber security, taking-out of information, information leakage, etc.
・ Providing advice on external disclosure, customer relations, and response to business partners.
・ Providing advice on handling of criminal cases (filing criminal complaints, cooperating in investigations, comprehending the extent of damage based on investigations, etc.)
・ Providing advice and dispute resolution regarding the pursuit of liabilities to the executives and employees and the IT vendors that caused the leakage
4． Cases related to electronic signature, digitization of contracts, etc.
・Providing advice on the system and use of electronic signature
